This last tip applies to both sellers AND buyers.
Sellers, it is quite possible that the reason your home might not be selling is because it is overpriced for the market. This doesn’t mean that your home may not be worth what you are asking, but if the buyers can find other similar homes for a lower price, they will put in offers for the other home when given the choice. If you aren’t getting any activity, you may want to consult with your agent to check market data and adjust accordingly.
Buyers, on the flip side, if inventory is low there will be more buyers competing for the same home and this can result in the market price being driven up.
Whether you are a buyer or a seller, have a conversation with your real estate agent to determine what type of market you are facing at the time. Markets fluctuate and your agent can guide you.
